Looking for an ICOM or maybe rent one?

Hello,

I am looing for an ICOM to do some programming on my 2017 R1200GS and wondered if anyone has one for sale or knows where i can get one from cheap as i only plan to use for a small project.

Maybe even rent one?

I believe that INPA & ISTA can also be used too? This is what's used on the BMW cars for diagnostic & coding software too.

Doubt you’re going to be able to rent one. What are you trying to do?

You can get remote services by using using an ENET cable and VPN. I know of someone but depends on what you are trying to achieve.

ICOM is the the hardware module required to talk to the bike, ISTA is the dealer diagnostic software.

I might be intended to be some kind of joke. However, in reality, Hilltop agents use the Raspberry Pi to connect remotely to the Hilltop server.

I would not risk a Chinese clone. Any BMW dealer should be able to supply one

They connect it to your bike for an hour and steal a few hundred quid from you.
