Hi,

My 1999 R1150GS has been taking up space in my parents' garage for three years and they're starting to get fed up with it. So I'm looking to sell it, but it needs a bit of an overhaul first and I'm no mechanic. I have a friend who might be interested in buying it but he's very busy and doesn't want a project.

So I was wondering if there is an independent mechanic that could take care of this, in return for hard cash (but a bit less than BMW would want). First thing would be to give it an inspection, a diagnosis and an estimate for the work, and I'd be happy to pay for this even if we decide for some reason not to go ahead. I would guess there is about two days effort involved.

The bike is in Midlothian but I have a trailer so I could transport it to you, preferably within about 50 miles.

Thanks for reading.

You might also want to talk to our very own Ghiribizzo who's just down the road from me, here in the Howe of Fife.
