Quite hard to find a decent open face helmet.

I need a flip-up visor (so that excludes the otherwise attractive Davidas). Good quality, comfortable and robust.

And I don't want to spend a fortune.

A system V with the ject kit (which I have now) would be OK, but the jet kits seem to have disappeared.

Any suggestions?

Hi Solzy

Seamus here,
just got myself a Nolan N43 you get the best of both worlds ! check it !

Take care :aidan

Hi Stolzy, Don't forget the Shark Evoline :thumb

Cheers Ken.

Hi, Seamus Nolan looks a good possibility, haven't tried it yet. Whats the comfort and quality like?.

Zofo, I think the Schubert is out of budget for a second helmet.

Ken, I tried the Evoline, but in open face mode it seemed kinda top-heavy. Wasn't completely convinced about the quality either (I tend to be rather hard on kit:blast)

Phil, Arai looks promising too, but right at the limit of the budget.

Cheers guys.:beerjug:

AGV

AGV Blade, real neat im getting one for the summer, peak small or large, visor and they do a blade vent......check them out...

Try ebay for a S/H Arai SZ – you do have to be patient!

SZ/m nice quiet top ‘snap’ vents, IMHO the best SZ ever made

SZ/f top vents not discrete, effective or as quiet as the SZ/m but a good helmet none the less

SZ/RamIII very noisy top vents and plastic furniture that don’t really work that well (removable lining)

Hi Stolzy

i find the N43 comfortable and it seems quite rebust. It also has a removable liner you can take out to wash ! Plus it has a good drop down sun visor.
