Thanks I was thinking something similar but now decided on a different method to meet my needs

It's ok now thanks Chris, I'm using Wolfman panniers with TT frames on the 690, Rick had made some fittings to the frames to guide the straps but they wouldn't allow QR like on the Wolfman frames so I'm going to copy them in stainless and get them welded
