Hi all, I'm looking for my old R1150GS, I sold it in a time of need in 2019 but would dearly love it back. I said I would never sell it but I had no choice....
Reg is FX02KXJ, it's a blue and white with adventure tank painted to match by Altamura, HP2 front wheel and a Rotrex supercharger fitted by TTS.
I know it's driven a few hundred miles a year, just wondered if the owner or someone who knows him/her is on here.
It was bought from a bike dealer in Wakefield who is no longer about.
Thanks for reading.

Is it worth an enquiry to DVLA? I've never done it but gather you can apply for previous keeper's details although you will I expect need a decent/legitimate reason to get around GDPR etc. The parking companies do this all the while although presumably wholesale and on a paying basis. There will no doubt be a (modest?) fee. The current keeper may be keen to hear from you. Maybe worth googling a bit unless someone else knowledgeable has done similar previously and jumps on here ...

TTS did a good job with those chargers; i remember them fitting one to a 600 suzuki bandit; turned it into a right little sleeper;; how did the GS go with one on ?

The DVLA protects personal data and will not release a registered keeper's name and address without a valid "reasonable cause". [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Valid reasons include: Dealing with an accident, tracing the driver who drove off without paying for fuel, handling parking disputes on private land, or dealing with abandoned vehicles.
  • How to apply: Download and complete the V888 Form for individuals.
  • Fees: There is typically a statutory fee (ranging from £2.50 to £5.00 depending on the nature of your enquiry). [1, 2, 3, 4]
Nebbing about who now owns your old bike IS NOT a valid reasonable cause and before anyone suggests a friendly cop with PNC access they will tell you to FRO

My mate had one on a Hayabusa I had to rebuild his engine one time after it holed a valve and had a bit of det damage on the crank journals. He took it to either Snetterton or Silverstone on a track day and cooked the brake pad linings right off the backing plates :)

It was great, the BMW engine is so under stressed it handled it well. Back then the big power adventure bikes weren't around so made sense to me.
Did thousands of miles, no issues, once all the teething problems sorted.
Like I said, it should have been a keeper.

Thanks for that; my mates ZRX turbo has been all over Europe with no problems; i was thinking the lower compression for the turbo helped with that;; i'am not sure on compression ratio's for superchargers tho.

It ran standard compression but with uprated injectors and clutch. Mapped in a PC5. If you rode it line a standard GS it was more economical! But if you wanted to wheelie in 3rd just grab a handle 😂
