Hello All,

I am an avid BMW tourer and travel all over the world on two wheels! I currently have an R1150GS and a R1200GSA.

Until fairly recently I had a 2012 R1200GS Adventure which displayed my Cherished Number Plate; AG59ARG. The bike is a Triple Black SE model.

However due to a complete foul up by BMW Financial Services, I lost the opportunity to transfer the number back to its original '62' registration plate prior to handing the bike back under its finance agreement.

I would very much like to have my cherished number back and would happily pay the transfer fees etc...

I know the bike was sold at auction around the beginning of this year (or thereabouts.)

If you have this (beautiful) bike or know who does, please don't hesitate to make contact. I'll definitely make it worth your while!

How important is the '59' part of the plate? You should be able to get a plate with your initials on very easily otherwise.

Currently not taxed but mot'd to 30.11.16 (govt mot site)

It might be worth a look at triple blacks for sale on eBay or autotrader. If it sold at auction it could well be a small non-franchised dealer who bought it and is selling it this way. The fact that it's not currently taxed could support this.

The '59' not only relates to my year of birth, but also relates to the world famous '59 Club' (& Ace Cafe!) which started in the same year. (I've also got AG60ARG on my car! - so nicely/unusually consecutive!)

This got me thinking that Andy Green OBE fighter pilot and holder of the current land speed record might be yourself ?

See I should have done my research
I got a bit excited that we may have had a celebrity in our congregation
