Heading to northern Spain via ferry to Pyrenees into southern France Alps to Switzerland and possibly garmisch for BM bash then home via Black Forest and channel crossing. Rough plan looking to travel around 20th June two weeks. Solo rider camping looking for riding partner or join group doing similar. Anyone with similar plans in same position please post.

Would have joined you but getting married on 3rd and suspect it wouldn't go down well!:blast
 
About £170 one way looking to return via channel or ferry to hull. Hoping to get to Dent meet this weekend anyone wanting to have a chat look me up no plate GED
 
BMW Mottorad days in Garmisch start with a party in Munich on 2 July and everything moves to Garmisch for the 3-5 July. Im thinking of a long weekend as well so any plans let me know.

I checked (lol) 3/4/5 July 2015. Looking at it with long riding days. Leave (early) Friday morning arrive late Friday (or early Saturday)
Leave Sunday afternoon get back Monday day, or leave Monday (early) get back Monday night. We're in the Midlands
 
probably going to travel down on Thursday and stop off on the way. Then into Garmisch for the Friday and leave on Sunday, back into Bristol on Monday.
 
We were thinking along similar lines. Leave Thurday tea time'ish. Save another day off work. Get late ferry, stay over somewhere in France.
Coming back leave Sunday, stay over in France somewhere, travel and ferry back Monday. Home tea time ish.

Is it just you or do you know of anyone else going. Its our first EU jaunt and I personally would want to travel in a group for a bit of security.
 
Just me. I did the Alps last year on my own, no problems with security. The weekend itself looks really good with up to 60k people expected. I was going to camp as this is where the action is.
 
We were gonna B&B on the way there and back, save faffing with the tent, But then camp in Gharmisch for the weekend events.

The group thing mainly cos I have no idea where I am going or rules of the road like vignettes etc. Be useful to travel with someone that could show us the ropes
 
four of us getting hull ferry on wed first of july overnighting black forest possibly freudenstadt thursday, two nites at garmisch before going down to genoa then returning up the rue grande alpes if anyone wants to tag along or meet up at garmisch
 
Called in at garmisch on Thursday last year not officially open but no objections. Stalls a displays being set up so limited access two bars open and snack food several hundred bikers there as well great atmosphere facilities open. Had Friday looking around after a beer or two night before left Friday evening. Might be an option for some absolutely manic Friday and Saturday nights. Hotels will already be booked up camping free at event.
 
Not booked anything yet still tentative plans. I usually leave it till 10 days before I want to go check weather over here and over there and then decide route. Two main options for me are out and return ferry from hull which means a long drive through France to Pyrenees or option 2 ferry from Portsmouth to Spain return zebrugge to hull. Still flexible however ferry to Spain not that frequent so it feels like hull out and back my be best plan. If interested could arrange to meet up and and have a chat. Was you at dent this weekend?
