Looking for somewhere special...

Hi,

Its my fiancees bitrthday at the end of the month and I am looking for ideas of where to take her on the bike. I have a couple of place in mind for brunch but would like suggestions for somewhere nice to go for ice cream or afternoon tea. Failing that a chocolate factory would score me massive brownie points. Any suggestions?

If she was my girlfriend then I will consider Paris ! Eurostar 2.30h train ride , Champagne and breakfast in Eurostar , lunch in Paris , evening in the hotel etc. then late train back home ! Park the bike in the car park near the station and all done .
You will probably spend around £600 including tips !
She will never forget that

Can't do that. She whisked me to Paris for my birthday last October

Brian, thanks for the suggestion but might be too far at this stage...breaking her in as a pillion gently.

How about a whistle stop tour of London? (with a posh lunch..). If I go up with her indoors she loves seeing the sights from the back of the bike. The Mall, Parliament sq, Tower bridge, Covent garden, Trafalgar Sq, Smithfields, wobbly bridge to st Pauls ...

(You might well both work up there and it's no big deal, but for some peepes, seeing London from the back of a bike is great fun.. )

Reading between the lines Fiancee and brownie points,

I suppose the bovington tank Museum is a nice run on the bike but may be a bit far off the mark.

Albeit a great day out, maybe a shorter ride brunch and a movie later war horse , plenty of chocolate there

Or dare I say just thinking about taking her up the Aisle might put a smile on her face and yours, think of the brownie points.

Giles - she knows London better than me as she is a Paramedic in the City/East London so she would have to navigate.

I don't think that the Tank Museum will win me any Brownie points

I know you say new to pillion, but Brugges is only 50 mins up the road from Calais, and that is a great location for a day out, loads and loads of choc factories in the centre, well little choc shops that make it on the premises, great food, trip on the canals, its not called Belgian Venice for nothing. Easy bike parking right in the centre,
