Looking for the elusive comfort in a seat

In dire need of comfort in a low seat for my GSA 014 for upcoming trip East Europe. I bought a gel matt 25x21x1cm. Have noted the pad is quite cool to the back of the hand . Having fitted heated pad to original seat and would like to fit one on top of low gel seat, obviously with a covering inbetween. Has anyone got any experience of the gel only seat or how it reacts to the heated pad ?

Try Cool Covers , great idea and also ( for me it works) its a sprung system cover that keeps airflow around your seat area which in effect cools your bum.
Also the spring cells add an even effect over you backside area rather than a localised gel pad, which in experience can cause pressure marks etc.
Used a set when we rode to Florence and both me and wifey found them to be really comfortable , temps were around 35 degs max to 25 ish. Rides were 290 miles average , but mainly mountain passes and back roads.
But noticed when we did have to do main roads the seat still worked well when static in the saddle.

Hope this helps but can say about the gel and heat , but may be worth a try rather than the gel pad as it wont be affected by heat .

Yes. I’d go with that. Just bought one and would agree. Also good in the wet as the seat stays dry

100% coolcovers, Over the last 10 to 15 years riding I've used everything, gel, memory foam and "both" in one seat also air and coolcovers beats them all.It works for me

If you want comfort. Buy an Airhawk

If you really want comfort buy a Goldwing on the other hand try a Sargent seat, not to every ones taste But I think they are as good as you can get. takes a couple of weeks to get used to it. I have used them on bikes for the past 12 years.
