Thanks mate. I love the old girl. Did think about selling her earlier this year, but thankfully changed my mind.
Definately not original, but changed over time to get the bike I wanted.

Dicktehleg…… that looks like a lovely GS….. the screen is aftermarket higher than the original, but might suit you better if you are tall. The rest looks very original.
Hope she brings you many miles of fun

The rocker covers have been changed for the earlier peanut ones (which I prefer)

You’re right about the screen but it does suit as I’m 6’, I was given the original too.

The seller preferred the peanut ones rocker covers too but fortunately had the original ones and supplied them with the bike, I’ll renovate the newer ones and fit them when I check valve clearances. (Thanks for your kind offer though )

It also has a heavy duty sump guard fitted but again I have the original thin one but that can stay on the shelf.

Looking forward to fettling her, seems to be a bit vibey between 2-3k rpm so I’ll check carb balance after I’ve done the clearances.

Looks like I’ll need to sort the heated grips too but otherwise it seems in excellent condition and has a surprising turn of speed.

I had a similar issue with my heated grips and fitted the Oxford touring easy as an easy thing and it monitors the battery.

I have them on my Bonneville and they’re really good and hot too.

Are they a straight fit on the oem bars/throttle body? I really do need to replace the original BMW ones on my 100GS.

They will fit the bars but as the plugs are already fitted they don't go throw the bars as the original ones do.
