it won't be fun lol been wondering if I actually need the upper crash bars on mine ? think if it goes over long as cylinders are protected might be enough.

Not sure what the score would be with a GS, but when I recently had a bike:road interface situation with my GSA, the upper bars suffered significant grinding while the tank was untouched. I'm pretty sure that without the bars, the tank would have been damaged - or maybe even holed. As it was, the bike was 100% rideable afterwards (even though the total bill comes to £3k5...).
