losing power

can anyone help please ,my 02 single spark 1150 adventure is misfiring badly at about 4000 rpm , problem gets worse after 50 mls or so but when i stop and turn off the engine it gets better but still misses at about 5000rpm and then progressivly gets worse I have just ridden 800 mls home like this , changed the plugs en route, and had coils checked, fuel pump is very noisey but has been that way for mths especialy when the tank is full , thanks Steve.

Hall sensor/wiring playing up.Reseat its connector.
Tight valve clearances/losing compression when hot.
Running rich?.Blocked air filter,TPS voltage too high.Whats the fuel consumption like?.
Maybe the pump is knackered and unable to maintain pressure to the injectors.Dirty fuel filter,crap in injectors.
How many miles has the bike done?.

cheers for the reply, the bike has done 40 k with proper servicing and fuel consumption appears normal.

problem solved

yippeeee ! changed the fuel filter and big bike back to normal pulling like a train with no noise at all from pump , what a difference thanks .
