I am getting an occasional complete loss of power when shifting up with my quick shifter, another firm push or dip of clutch brings it back.
Please be aware that this is not my first GSA or BMW with a quick shifter so have used them a lot.

Any one else had similar? Its under warranty but getting bored of seeing my dealer at the moment.

Also, if anyone has a really stiff gearbox, I did. I upgraded to an adjustable gear lever, whilst fitting it I greased the shaft with silicone grease, gear change is now the slickest I've ever had on a Boxer twin and that includes an R1200R LC.
For those of you putting two and two together, you've got five, my initial issue mentioned in this post happened with both gear lever set ups :blast

True but they've "updated the software" and that's all they've got!

I might be talking bollocks, but when my 2017 gear box was having a hard time finding first, I think they said, they updated the software and fixed a sensor, but it was in Technical Black Forest German, so hope I understood correctly...;)

I get the problem every now and again. I was wondering if i inadvertently alter the throttle position when upshifting.

Its like someone puts the brakes on for a second. Most disconcerting when on fast acceleration upshifting.

Me too, but only occasionally from 4>5 or 5>6. Feels like the brakes have been slammed on for half a second or so. As has been said, very disconcerting! 3rd to 4th is always slick.

Mine had 2 gsap units fitted as they failed and numerous software updates , speak to your dealer as it needs recalibrated

So. The system is working correctly then. When changing up i believe the engine cuts power to allow an upward change. It works like that on cranes too.
