My 550 has v9 of mapsource loaded.

My computer recently had to be formatted, necessitating re-installs. I seem to have lost the v9 DVD, I have v8 DVD, but somehow can't use that. I think, when I sold my 2610, I may have inadvertently put the wrong DVD in with it :blast :blast :rob :rob

Any ideas what I can do now? The Zumo is OK to use on it's own, but I'd rather have mapsource.

have you tried

if its been registered... going to 'my garmin' and see if you can reload the mapping onto your computer.

Are you sure it's City Navigator Europe v9? that's 2007 mapping. Maybe you mean City Navigator Europe 2009? There is a distinct difference.

So long as you have a valid unlock code that you have the legal right to use (either supplied with the unit or purchased as an update) for the mapping in question where you get the mapping from is pretty irrelevant in my book.

You need someone who will burn you a copy or you could even download it from a torrent site. Garmin distribute the DVDs to registered users for free, it's the unlock code they charge for so, as long as you have a paid for valid unlock a download isn't really illegal as such. The lawyers would no doubt disagree with me though.
