HELP I'm trying to find a place in France where there's Rock fissures and a waterfall were mostly local people had a day out to swim and jump off the rocks, I think it was near the Tarn Gorge? We went to canoe the gorge but it was too late in the day to start so found this place.
For the life in me I can't remember where about this place was or if I have got my memories mixed up....it was in the 90s.
I'm thinking about doing another tour that way and would like to recreate it....Any help that can put me in the right place would be much appreciated

Saint Chely du Tarn maybe?

Map co ordinates for you. 44.336576, 3.383444 name of place st chély-du-tarn

Nope But thanks guys....This place was more like a nature park picnic area. I remember it toke some nerve to jump between the rocks into the waterfall, needless to say....I didn't do it

Gorge du Tarn is a truly beautiful place to see and ride, luckily most people go to the Alps.

Sorry guys I got my "Gorges" mixed up it was the Verdon and "EUREKA!!!" I've found it.....Cascades du Sautadet, had a great day there and the following day canoed the Gorge. If your planing to go to the Verdon then it's well worth spending a few hours here :thumb2

Redboots......Yep!....Great road :thumb

The cascades are to the west of Orange , on the way to Ales Not Verdon. In 2007 we camped at St Jean du Guard for a few days , and spent a lot of time riding all over the area. The Chevannes region is stunning , and is one of my all time favourite places.

Didn't think I said they were snelly....Just trying to find somewhere I spent a few happy hours back in the 90s and if I go there next year and I'm staying in the area, which there's a good chance I will be.....I'll be there again BUT won't be canoeing the gorge even if the nudist are still there ;-)

If you canoe the verdon, watch out for the kids jumping off the road bridge as you go under. We nearly had one of the little sods in ours.:D We had 2 glorious weeks between the Verdon , and the Chevannes, after we left chimay. I keep telling myself , we will be back. But lots of things have changed for us since then. The memories don't fade though. Have a good time.

Cheers nelly, forgot about the "little feckers" :thumb2
I'm putting together a couple possible trips for next year, France and Spain with stop overs at places like the Verdon, and Morocco and the Riff mountains, both places I have done and would like to explore more BUT it depends on the others which tour we do.

We are there this year.....we booked into an apartment in Saint Gervais, which is about 3 KM down the road and then found this place while researching things to see in the area....Only a few weeks to go for us.
