Being a proper tosser I dropped the bike thinking it was still on the side stand after moving it back slightly before getting off :blast

Thankfully wasn't a serious drop as I caught it on the way down but still a drop

I've tried giving all the connections a good shake, took screen & silver top off but still no joy, tried fuses & relays just incase but nothing:confused:

Any pointers appreciated where to try next?

Bike has bars so didnt take much off a knock

Not much to suggest really, you seem to have covered most.

When you say you have given all the connections a good shake, does that include the 8 way grey coloured connector under the tank at the headstock?

You may have corrosion and you have knocked it enough to loose either the power feed from the motronic relay, or the earth. Disconnecting and reconnecting the connector a few times might clears any corrosion and re-establish a good connection. Failing that, you may well have dislodged one of the wires inside the RID unit where they attach to the circuit board.

I'll check that headstock plug tomorrow Ian & also the relay again...fingers crossed

Suppose after that it will be having to get the unit out for a check :-(

Loose wire probably the culprit as iJH suggests. Double check, or swap out the fuse even if it doesn’t look blown - I’ve found one that looked ok, but had died.
I think there’s a RID on eBay at the moment....
