At last I've gone and lost my off road cherry on the GS (I did do half a days green laning last year on a pogo but that's the sum of my off road experiance).

I was booked in to the Friday green lane ride out at Horizons Unlimited and woke on the morning to the sound of rain on the tent - that set the tone for the day!

Eight bods were booked onto the run but only three of us were stoopid enough to turn up; Mary (a star, five foot nothing and eight stone on a small Yam), Stuart on a TKC80 shod GS and me on my Battlewing shod GS. The ride was led out by Ken on his HP2.

What a day we had, really one of the best days riding I have had for years, I fell off more times than I care to remember, got wetter and mudier than I ever have and instead of talking about it, as I have in the past, am now actively looking for a pogo - I wanna do more of this stuff :thumb2

Here's somme piccies that made me smile :)

Even on an HP2 I can't stay upright!

Did I mention it was a bit wet?

We had fun in this puddle - I only came off twice in there - good going for me :D

get some TKCs, they grip on the road well enough to get the pegs down in the dry and they are much, much better off road

it's a bit addictive, you have been warned !!!!!!!!!
