Lost my off-road cherry at HU

At last I've gone and lost my off road cherry on the GS (I did do half a days green laning last year on a pogo but that's the sum of my off road experiance).

I was booked in to the Friday green lane ride out at Horizons Unlimited and woke on the morning to the sound of rain on the tent - that set the tone for the day!

Eight bods were booked onto the run but only three of us were stoopid enough to turn up; Mary (a star, five foot nothing and eight stone on a small Yam), Stuart on a TKC80 shod GS and me on my Battlewing shod GS. The ride was led out by Ken on his HP2.

What a day we had, really one of the best days riding I have had for years, I fell off more times than I care to remember, got wetter and mudier than I ever have and instead of talking about it, as I have in the past, am now actively looking for a pogo - I wanna do more of this stuff

get some TKCs, they grip on the road well enough to get the pegs down in the dry and they are much, much better off road

it's a bit addictive, you have been warned !!!!!!!!!
