Not certain this is right place to post, but here goes...I've already posted this in "Equipment & Toys" , but thought this might be more appropriate, so here goes.....
Just had a great weekend at Tourance Event , but home journey was a bit of a disaster; I managed to loose rear luggage (and more )off the back of the bike. No pillion on the bike thank goodness!
Somewhere between Merthyr Tidfil and Abergavenny, heading east, my bright red Ortlieb Drybag managed to become detached from my 1150, along with, ( and this is the bitter pill to swallow ) a brand new set of Zega pannier rails for my 1150 GSA. Just purchased at a 10% discount from TT,
The whole lot worked loose,, and must have shot off on a bend somewhere ( some great roads round there
...)
So, did anyone by any chance spot a red Ortlieb 35 litre red drybag, plus a set of rails ,(the rails were brand new and bubble wrapped, in a bin-liner).
Can't believe how I missed them parting company -they were secured on with Rok Straps, so should have been secure.
I spent a couple of hours riding back to see if I could spot them, but had to finally admit defeat and head on home.
If anyone did stop and retrieve them ( Ortlieb had my tent, sleeping bag, bed roll,and more in it), I would be your friend for life....first trip for the tent too...dam...
I'll be phoning TT today, and try the "sympathy discount" ploy!
Great weekend though..great roads, great weather,...even went on a rideout with a certain Mr C Boorman...the wheelie man. I'll certainly be going to next years event , when they'll probably even have a few more toilets and hot water

Many thanks, and going off to find a dark room and cry now. And I KNOW it was my stupid fault, and I KNOW I should have known better and spotted it flying off behind me, but I didn't !!!
