A word of caution about Louis Motorcycle parts & accessories mail order in Germany

I ordered three oil gauges (two of one type and one of another)
The single one was fine and is a good piece of kit.
The other two were not the correct part for a 650GS despite my calling three times to check the item code number follwoing another persons' complaint. I was guaranteed they would all fit a F650GS '00 to '03

well no, two had to be sent back... :(
I've an email from them confirming credit card refund but a chap called Thomas Herm refused to pay return postage costs which they should have done.

...we will take the thermometer back for refunding, as long as it is as good as new, no problem. But you have to take the forwarding expenses.

With best regards
Your Louis-team
Thomas Herm

It is interesting to note that since this problem, they have updated their website with regards to those parts..... I wonder why....

So if you do decide to buy from these people, take care because they don't.

I bought some parts for my buggie the other day, they weren`t the ones I needed, man said bring the buggie to us we will fit parts needed.

On bill at end was £80 for taking parts back :spitfire

I can asure you I told him and he did , YOU CAN REMOVE THAT, FOR A START !

There is a Huge 'Louis' store in the town that i live in (Paderborn). If in future you need anything doing/buying etc i will be more than happy to help you out Bert. Or anyone for that matter.

I could confirm with them the parts buy them and send them myself to you for a lot cheaper no doubt...just a thought :nenau

Helllll-oooo

Hello Mac
Good to hear from you !
Thank you for the offer.
It is frustating to have dealers behave as they did- And it wasn't a language thing as I spoke twice with people who could speak Englsih and one French lady! so no excuses!
But I'll certainly get in touch if something else crops up- :D :thumb :beerjug:
Email me news what's happening with you & Co. :thumb

p.s. nice avatar (running the risk here of getting :headbat by our Lady GS'ers here!)
