At least I have hopefuly made prospective buyers aware of the disavantages of these machines and have saved them a lot of hassle and headaches by looking to buy another brand.

Bold, capitals small print. No offence intended but like I said Tekky is one of the biggest on this forum... Condescending I may have been with the end remark and I apologise if it offends but when someone is sticking up for BMW Tekky then something needs to be said. It was his little quip at the end that was more significant the "rust before your very eyes bit".
Lets put this all in to context. Would Wizard come in so strongly if it was based on this thread alone....? The simple answer to that is no.

unless somebody else starts! but I dont think they will as I am so well repected on here.
In fact I was thinking of throwing a party for all the GS riders but most come from more than 10 miles away which would probably mean nearly all breaking down on the way and fail to turn up.
It would be such a shame to waste all that food.
BMW assist would then go into overload that day, so I wouldnt want to be responsible for that.

There really is nothing like the smell and feeling of owning a brand spanker, It was a treat to watch the chrome headers steadily turning a darker shade of blue ................ mmmmmmmm lovely.

I picked up my first ever new bike in September, It's as GSA12 and in 7000 miles it's been FAULTLESS. However I have protected it with ACF-50 just as a precaution and to protect my investment as the bike lives outside 365. In all reality it would be the same if I'd bought a Honda VFR or a Ducati. I just like to look after my kit
