What low seat options are out there for the new ADV?

Riding solo I'm fine, but two up and dialing in the Rider+Pillion setting sees the bike rising to lofty heights that I'm not 100% comfortable with.

This is what I've been thinking...
When I carry passenger that's similar weight to me, 13stone, i change setting to 2 helmets, ride height raises by lots, I believe the 2 helmet setting must be for 2 large people, (tosser size) so now I set to 1 helmet + luggage, that seems to maintain the ride height to somewhere close to single rider, this also keeps the drive train from operating at speed with extreme angles.
(works for me anyway) !

Seat, I believe the standard GS WC fits, not personally tried it yet, but eyed it up For next road test of GSA WC

The standard LC seat does fit, I tried it for a customer of mine on Monday. it's substantially lower.

If, as snaponphil says, maintaining the ride height depending on load is the object of the exercise (which I think it is), then why not pick the one for you and your wife which does just that - e.g. helmet + luggage. Perhaps you are lighter than a standard pair of lard arse Germans or indeed Tossers

As already mentioned, the low seat of the 2013/14 GS will fit, a friend of mine has one one his 2014 GSA and I found I can place both feet fully flat on the ground.

I don't know if this will help, but it may give some who may be wondering about how much foot to ground contact you get with various seat/ESA combinations (I have an inside leg measurement of 29.5 inches).
When I visited the dealers I sat on the 2014 GSA fitted with a standard seat, set in low position:

With the ESA set for just the rider, no luggage, I could get the soles of both feet flat on the ground (as I can with my 2010 GSA fitted with a low Sargent seat).
With the ESA set to rider & pillion I was on tip toes, both feet (If I fit the standard seat to my 2010 GSA, set in low position, ESA on rider only, I'm on tip toes).

When 2-up without luggage I just use the standard solo setting (combined 2-up weight 20 stone) works fine for me I only use solo + luggage when fully laiden

This works for me

What about gluing some Blocks of wood on your shoes?

Tried that and the ADV handles like a blancmange on ice.

Funny you should say that.... I was up at Hawkstone MX races in 2010 and spotted this little chap in the schoolboy class

Replace your bike with a standard one without the electronic suspension - then just wind up the pre-load know to the level you require and put a couple of clicks on the rebound damping - the old ways are the best
