Morning all, i'm thinking of trying the lower seat option. how many of you have gone this route & is it worth it:confused:

morning................i'm 5.4 and with the low seat option i can ride my own 1200gs with no prob, as well as my hubbys 1200gsa..........touratech do a low seat option as well........i find the low seat really comfy......:o :o :o

I'm 5"9 with short legs 29" used the low seat when I first bought the bike but switched to the normal one once I had gained confidence, try one out at the dealers and see what you think.

Low seat gives me a little better control when stopped but at the expense of long distance comfort ....

30" inside leg, last time I checked.....

Hi, thanks for the input, i'm also 5'9" 29 inside leg & find parking etc a pain. ps janie even though you're 5'4 i bet your inside leg is nigh on the same as mine...an old girlfriend of 5'5 found my jeans to short, don't ask what she was doing wearing them.:o

i wear a pair of paddock boots.....that have a thick sole and they make the world of difference to how much foot i have on the floor......

I'm 5'7" with a 29" inside leg. Low seat suits me fine though I'm still on tippie toe when I come to a stop (tackle must be adding a few more inches!) :D

Cambers aside I feel reasonably confident though not as confident as some who are quite happy to park their bikes on the dirt track at the side of the road for photo stops etc.

Low seat was comfortable enough but I still had it cut down a bit further and a gel pad fitted.
