Hello to all you guys n girls in GS land.
I hope somebody can help with some recommendations. I need to lower the foot pegs on my 1150 GS (duff knee due to binning a Honda C90 over 20 years ago!). Problem is there are about 3 different kits to do the job. Has anyone got any recommendations or what to avoid? Help I'm confused.

I've recently fitted a Wunderlich MV lowering kit to my 1150GS and after only a few rides I'm pretty sure it has stopped a neck gripe I was getting occasionaly - however - I am also accutely aware of the lower ground clearance and find I'm being a bit timid about tipping the bike in on corners - we'll have to see if I get used to it.

good choice of thread as I am looking for the same bit of kit. Whats up trying to make the bike as comfy as possible for the saddlesore run? Mark

I have looked at lots and have come to the conclusion that the best ones are Ricardo's Fastway pegs. That's what I am going to buy.

As per thread on Fastway Footpegs I have just got and fitted some and will be at Princetown ir anybody wants to see them.

Or even a ride with them (if you can convince me you can handle my outfit :D :D :D )

1) I'd like to see the pegs in the flesh.

2) I'd like a ride IN your outfit. Never been in a sidecar in my life.

Looks like a queue is forming as BAKERMAN made the same request when I saw him Thursday. Maybe I'd best fill up just before Princetown seems like I'm gonna be busy :D :D :D

Lower footrests

Hi Guys
Thanks for all the in-put. I have received and fitted a Wunderlich lowering kit. Actually that's not true..my mate Daren fitted them for me! Cheers, mate.
The kit is well made and fits with no probs at all. It comes with all the longer bits to height match the gear change and rear brake. It lowers everything by 40mm and makes a huge difference to the comfort in the knees and hips.
When ordering make sure you get the bits to make the gear-change pedal longer and the plate to enlarge the rear brake pedal. You will need them as the lowering kit also moves the footrests OUT by the width of the brackets, about 25mm, and puts you right on the edges of the two pedals. They are only £19.95 each, very easy to fit and make a big difference.
The chap I spoke to at SPC's reckons that the kit should come with them.
Scotland here I come!
