Guys iv ftted the wuderlich rider footrest lowering kit to my 1150GSA,all seems well fitted the new brake pushrod and longer adjuster bolt, and the gearchange extender part.My question is there is a long threaded shaft left over and i cant see where it goes? the pics in the instructions are'nt clear, and im wondering if its just in the kit for use on other models?Iv searched threads here but cant find the answer or pics?Sorry if this a numpty question but havent had time to roadtest yet so wanna make sure all is well......mucho gras...:Motomartin

Is it ...

... to drop the gear lever by replacing the original threaded rod ?

Hi oblertone, its not for that,iv fitted the part that does that job. This piece is about 3 inches long its threaded about a third from each end.Iv looked at the bike but cant see anything that resembles it......:Motomartin

Pretend its a bar of salt and throw it over your left shoulder??:JB
Seriously, if everything fits and appears to work, then this would appear to be a Quality Control issue by TT, rather than a reflection on your engineering skills.

I can Email you the fitting instructions off the Wunderlich website if it would help.

I do think it is for use on other models.
