I'm sure it isn't rocket science, but it is always nice to have some advice and a bit of help (Haynes isn't).

I want to take off the fork lower fork bridge and get it cleaned up and hammerited or polished because it is looking a bit rough. Is there a kind soul who could could give me a "step by step" of removal?

thanks

just done it on a r1100rt, remove front wheel, unbolt mudguard, remove brake line holder, take off plastic cap over ball joint, spanner on nut, with torq driver in top, remove nut, undo for allen bolts on the top of it :augie

Pivot bolt

This needs to be put back with locktite and torqued up very tight .
