Lower standard seat on F800GSA 2015

Hi all

Is there or has anyone lowered a stock standard seat. I know you can buy a after market BMW or tourotech seat. Or even go to a auto upholstery specialist. But was wondering if anyone had successfully lowered one and how. Don't fancy shelling out £300 on a second seat and don't really want to alter stock as may affect sale later on

I've been looking for my wife and there are plenty on a certain auction site, some really cheap. If I were you I'd buy one and if it works out get it re-covered.
 
I have a lower stock seat for a R700GS. I think its the same fitting as yours and may fit.
Please let me know if this is correct.
If so PM me for details.

Standard 700/800 GS seat won't fit on a GSA - the profile's different because of the larger fuel tank on the Adventure.

I did wonder, with the added fuel tank.

While we are on the subject of fuel tanks. I got an impressive 240 miles on a tank from my recently acquired 700gs (97 octane used).
The warning light had been on for a while and I was relieved when I got to a petrol station.
Impressive range on a mix of motorways/A and B roads/urban. It's started returning better consumption now that its hit 2500 miles.

...and a bump for the seat hunter.:D

Superb mileage @ 240 to a tank....

The 700's are detuned slightly with a better lower/mid range, taller geared and return better mpg.:beerjug:
