Lowering a F800GS

Hi Ya all,
Has anyone on here had a GS8 lowered by FTR suspension in Bury St Edmunds

If so how did it work out, whats it handle like? pro's and con's ? or does anyone know of another company that will lower one or supply parts to do so.

I know there is a lower seat available but this only gets it to thirty three and a half inches I need to make one easily suitable for a twenty nine inch inside leg. My Girl friend needs to be able to get both feet on the deck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why not try out a 650gs? There only a bit down on power a great bike. I chose a 650gs over 800 because it suited my riding more. Worth a look.

I have a 29" inside leg and manage comfortably with just the lowered seat.Depending on road camber i can get both feet down (not quite flat)
The only time i have problems is when it`s fully loaded,thats when i need to stand on the footpeg to get on and off.

It will but he wont be able to swing his leg over with boxes / bags on the back... maybe he needs a crane to get on, Henry the 8th style
