Lowering kit for F800 GS Adventure?

As far as i know, yes.

I have a mate, who's 5'2" and hes just ordered a lowered 800GSA from Dick Lovett Motorrad, Bristol.
They actually have a lowered example in the showroom.

I've heard good things about Maxton who will build a suspension unit just for you & your bike

thanks mrjim for the link to calsport - excellent prices
the full lowering kit for my bike (f650gs twin) is £100 cheaper than Touratech (who have the cheek to charge £10 postage)!

I wanted the F800 but it's very tall - the 50mm lowering spring will take the low seat of the F800 from 850mm to 800mm :thumb2
food for thought when I'm looking around next time.......

Thank you for all your help, in new year will look into calsport and Maxton. I have a brand new lowered seat but too uncomfortable so gone back to standard seat, i tiptoe and have to look out for cambers in the road when stopping. Have had a few near misses of dropping bike.

I had the standard seat for my 650 reduced with a gel insert & it's great. I can ride 2 hours without having to stop only stopping for fuel thereafter. Definitely worth looking into Kitty :)

I have been looking at calsport and it doesn't say it fit the adventure version and yes have ESA.

Cannot ride bike at moment as my leg is playing up. Need it lowered. only done 158 miles not even run in yet. Been sat in garage since august last year.

Need at least 50mm reduction really need 75mm to feel comfortable as hate tip toeing.

I about to put my f650gs 07 plate up for sale, once i get it out of storage. so will have funds then.

Can anyone help

I purchased the 2012 F800Gs with 2013 spec knowing it was a tall bike and having only a 29" inside leg, my solution was purchased via motorworks based on a 50mm height reduction kit from Hyperpro. I have fitted shortened coil fork springs with supplied hyperpro oil to their recommended levels, and a shortened coil spring to the rear ESA shock. This kit has lowered the bike a full 2" and enhanced the handling, it did however require the purchase of a second hand side stand which I shortened at the base plate and re welded which doesn't have the bike standing up precariously. The fitment of both front and rear parts took just 1.5hrs and would possibly have been quicker with assistance, the fork filling/level checking is cumbersome on your own. All in including stand £250 with the facility to return to standard and sell on parts, a comfort seat makes the ride a luxury. Hope this information of some use.

Don't mess around lowering the bike or taking padding out of the seat. Buy the Daytona boots which raise you up an inch

AFAIK the shock on the standard 800GS and the Adventure is the same.
On the BMW website the spec for suspension travel is the same 230/215 for both bikes so the 800GS spring should fit.But best check with Calsport

Kitty, is there a garage you trust with your bike that would be willing to collect, lower the bike then redeliver the bike to you?
They may take your F650 away & sell it for a bit of commission too.... :)

there is a post on here somewhere, of a Hyperpro kit being fitted (with pictures) for 50mm lower....sorry but I cant remember who it was....
