Hi Guys,
Have had my 05 RT for 3 months now and am quite pleased with it.
Can anyone please help and tell me if the footpegs were lowered by 1 or 1.5 inches does it make a major difference to knee and hip position whilst riding as I do get a little discomfort on longer spells in the saddle.
Many thanks and regards.
Martin

I fitted them and bar risers when I had bad knees and it made it a lot more comfortable. I've had the knees done now so don't need them on the 2014 RT LC which I think is a little more sportier position.

I had peg lowering on my Honda Pan European but kept scraping my toes on the ground on corners, so ended up raising the seat.

Did the same on my last two RT1200‘s (raised the seat) by putting rubber 2cm under the front and back, doesn't sound much but made a difference.

New RT is perfect as is.

I'm 6'5" and can sit on the stock (high seat) RT (may have put a bit of rubber at the front to lift the front of the seat up)

Martin. How long in the saddle 20 mins 20 hours? = std or one corbins etc.
How tall.
How long is a piece of string.
Just too many bits missing in order to offer you a decent answer.
I mean you could be asking advice about a potty FFS, and hopefully thats behind you.:rob

Lower pegs

Partymarty

I lowered my foot pegs on my 2013tc with Wunderlich lowering kit, and it really made a difference .....no more aches and pains in the knee area for me

I lowered them on my RT and it made a world of difference.

My 2013 hex head RT is being traded this week so the lowering kit will be on sale. You want dibs before I advertise? It's kit WUN-31410-001 from Nippy Norman

PartyMarty - are you interested in the lowering kit before it goes to Stanley?

Stanley - I can post tomorrow or Friday as I'm working away Tuesday to Thursday. If PartyMarty doesn't respond by midday Monday could you get PayPal gift across so I could post before the post office shuts? £75 posted

Hi daesimps, my apologies to you but I haven,t checked back to the site since Saturday and it seems I have missed out!
Many thanks to all the members who have left a comment and it would seem that lowering the pegs is the way to go.
Cheers gentlemen and regards

Partmarty- I'll let you know how I get on with them. You could even pop around to try for size; I'm not that far from you.
Also, consider paying the subscription to this forum. It really is a great source of info., and you then get full access to the classifieds. In my early days on here, I once got some stick for daring to buy a topbox (from this part of the forum) when I wasn't a subscriber!

Cheers

Thank you Stanley, would be very helpful to try them for size. I will come and visit you in the county of Marple near stockportshire!!
Regards
