I've been asked to lower a 2018 R1200RT for customer. I'm assuming it has ESA.

He doesn't mind paying to do it right.

Shorter springs are an easy option. But they do make the ride harsher.

Has anyone here gone the full hog and bought custom lower shocks ?

Any recommendations for suppliers/ brands ?

Cheers

Denzo may be the guy to speak to, maybe he can do something with the standard shocks

Ask the mother ship, option x499 i believe

if you lower the shocks you will need the lowered centre & side stands too

and the shock will need to be calibrated to the bike (supposedly)

I was hoping someone knew of an off the shelf set of shocks that they have tried and tested.

I can swap for shorter springs myself and recalibrate. But I think they ride too hard. That's plan B

A set of lowered shocks from BMW would cost more than the bike. Nearly £4000 I think. There is no special programming for a lowered bike. Ive never seen the option to retrofit lower ESA shocks in my BMW software.
