Getting over a very bad dose of bronchitis at the moment but decided to take the bike to get a puncture fixed on my way to work this morning.

Lovely day and filtering nicely past lots of cars.

Riding down the A49 towards Stockton Heath and had the worst couging fit that I've ever had, so much so that I went dizzy and completely lost control.

I came slowly round, on the wrong side of the white line and facing an oncoming bus.

Caught the side of the bus and the only damage is a smashed open rocker cover.

I feel rather shaken and oh so lucky to be alive. If the rocker cover hadn't been in that position, I dread to think what could have happened to my leg.

Lesson to self - never ride with a bad cough again! :rob

What a fantastic bike.... :thumb

Get well soon to you and the bike :thumb

Wow, scary moment  I had a vaguely similar experience when attacked by a sneezing fit, fortunately was only bimbling along a country lane on a BSA Bantam and gently steered into a ditch at 5 mph.

I wonder if you've ever considered sucking a Fisherman's Friend? :D :D :ymca :ymca

Don't you think I'm in enough trouble already? :ymca

Still a bit shaken but things could have been alot worse - I could have written off the bus! :D

Hopefully the bike will be ready later today... :thumb
