I got a wee unexpected bonus this week of £100 for a job I did ages ago, and totally forgot about.

I decided to treat masel' to a new tent soz I can get to Wully's next (first) getragerrar and hopefully make the Borders Do.

Exaust emmisions light stayed on this morning. Took the car into a VAG workshop and learned that it was a glow plug feck up.

Should have called the friendly tosser with access to a VW diag and a whole workshop full of VW group techs!:aidan

And in Edinburgh too, so you could have combined it with a wee trip to see the customers at Her Majs pleasure!

I felt a bit better on reciept of a PM from a Merc driver who had the same problem but it cost £1200 to fix :eek: :eek:

I got off lightly :comfort
 
A pal was opening his mail a few years back. Hello! A cheque for several grand for an insurance policy he's forgotten about. Result!

The next letter he opened. The very next one, no exaggeration, contained a compulsory repair order for the chimney stack in his tenement stair. A couple of quid less than the cheque.

I've a Khyam Highlander (sorry no pun intended) with optional extra stone proof ground sheet. If you want I can lend you it for the Borders Do, as I'm stopping in the Bunkhouse

Never used, I've never even taken it out the bag, you can take its Cherry. You could rent it off me for 4 pints a night :D

Or if you like it make me a 'monetary offer around £70 - £80 or keep me in beer the whole weekend :thumb

I'll say no because your namesake Rab beat you to it but if I do make the Borders Do, I'll get the drinks in :jager
