Luggage for a GSA

OK so i bought a Tripple Black complete with the scaffolding at the back for boxes. i also bought the BMW Black metal topbox, all good so far.

can I remove the side scaffold and use Vario boxes instead of the metal stuff or do i have to make wholesale changes to the bike?

You can do it, but you have to put on the rear foot peg hangers from a GS, as they have the mount that the Varios fix on to.

Get the proper GSA luggage - by the time you’ve changed the hangers and bought Varios etc the cost isn’t far out..

+1 on post 3 also the varios open from the side, a pain in the rear, when it all falls out on yer toes, nicer to have opening from the top, how do I know.............. you can get Bumot Panniers for the oem scaffolding way better quality than BMW, however locking system is different.
