Great news - have found someone to produce a very functional, strong and pleasing to the eye Luggage Rack, laser cut from Aluminium plate to fit the later model F650GS singles with the cleated rear luggage rack as standard.
Thanks to Bernie Brinkmann of StahlKoffer Limited who took on my challenge after our meet at the NEC Bike show!
He has run off 12 Racks to test demand which are available at a very reasonable price. www.stahlkoffer.com or email [email protected]

I contacted the guy who makes these about three weeks ago. He quoted for my 04 F650 GS £50 and that was to collect from the place they are made.

Not sure if they will fit the 03 models. You would need to contact him.

bought and fitted a stahlkoffer back plate - awesome it is - great bit of kit ! Bump

Old thread but I wonder if these are still available???

Anyone know of any other similar rear racks?

Have a top box at the minute but fancy just strapping on a dry bag.

SW Motech do a very nice unit, bit expensive but comes as two parts. Centre section is removed to allow access to glove box.

Beauty of the SW Motech is the different adaptors they do that clip on with 3 quick release fixings, we have a choice of Givi or Hepco and Becker Top Box mounts or a very nice luggage plate. Literally 30 seconds to change between them.

Thanks mate,
I'll have a search and take a look. :thumb2

Cheers fellas,

Sw motech was a tad expensive .... Stahlkoffer still produce these and at only £49 + postage seems great value, although if I was a bit better at making a template and cutting alloy I'm sure you could do a diy job for a tenner :D

If anyone is interested then Bernie Brinkmann at Stahlkoffer is contactable on:
