Luverly road..... Monmouth to Chepstow on the A466

I spent the past couple of days working in Wales, my last job being in Monmouth. Part of my route home took me from Monmouth to Chepstow on the A466.

That was a nice run, even for the car, but it would be a good run on the bike, which I will be doing next week when I go back up there. It's 17.5 miles and you need to do it both ways, first to enjoy the road and second to enjoy the scenery.

The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and you can stop at Tintern Abbey for a cream tea......

Thats not far from me, i must admit to favouring it in the Monmouth to Chepstow direction.
Last weekend we did - Monmouth - Abergavenny - Skenfirth - Monmouth - Tinter - Tidenham Chase - St Brievels - Great little run that was

Thats not far from me, i must admit to favouring it in the Monmouth to Chepstow direction.

My thought was ride the road to Monmouth, do the job in Monmouth then have a slow ride back for the scenery.....
