I went there in June..there are no problems in that part of Ukraine, yet !
They let you in , but are thorough with documents ( I had no bike insurance ), showed them my BeMoto certificate and they seemed happy.
I was heading into Lviv to buy insurance at a broker, but didn't make it that far..the bike broke down with a fried regulator.
Everyone was really helpful and curious at the same time ( why come to Ukraine ), 3 days later I found a replacement and decided to head south to Romania rather than heading to Moldova ( original plan ).
There is a thriving tourism infrastructure around the south west Carpathian Mountains, new hotels and cabins being built everywhere you look, big supermarkets, cafes and bars ( always seemed busy ), designer goods, boutiques...
I did manage to buy war cover personal insurance from Visit Ukraine website, you can also buy vehicle insurance, there but the form has to be filled in Ukrainian language.
I'm hoping to visit again next year and explore a bit more, and hopefully the war will be over
