Going by motorhome.

Anyone who believes motorbikes hold the only exciting race meetings, maybe needs to rethink.

Looks great fun I wish I'd ridden spa when I was young bendy and did track days. My 2006 R1 would have been great there. Enjoy the cars...i'm sure it's carnage when it rains. They were doing pretty well in the film clip for it being a dry day :D
 
I'll be doing something similar on Sunday, only it's the British GT Challenge, only one hour races, and only a couple of miles away at Brands.

You're right! The rest of it was right though. I only get asked if I want a ticket for Sunday by a neighbour. The first question I ask is which circuit and then what's racing, if it's the GP track I usually don't bother as when there's a safety car it takes so long for them to all go round again and also if the support races are smaller low powered stuff again it takes so long and too strung out. But with the GT cars they are a bit more quicker and seems more disciplined so keep out of trouble. I still miss the big old Bentleys thundering around but the AMG Mercs match them in sound.

After I've walked a lap of the circuit I spend a lot of the time in the paddock watching teams repair or prepare the lesser cars, sometimes more interesting than the racing. Are you there tomorrow Greg? I'll look out for you if you are.

I just thought I could've got the kid over the road to take his LeFrance over there and you could have a parade lap/race with him? A couple of spirited laps in one of those around the GP circuit would give your arms and legs a workout, not to mention the exercise the marshalls would have with the cement dust and brooms.

Not off to a particularly auspicious start….

The fresh water tank on my motorhome is full (I was giving it a mild bleach * out after standing through the winter) but the electronic depth gauge is now showing zero percent.

This wouldn’t bother me too much, except that the ‘on demand’ pump (which fires up automatically when you open a tap or flush the loo) doesn’t then function. Clearly, the pump has a built in safety function, preventing it from running if the fresh water tank is at zero percent. The grey water waste tank’s depth gauge is fine, thankfully.

As a workaround, I found (by pure luck) that I can hold the pump’s tap button ‘on’ forcing it to set the pump running.

The internet suggests two possible causes:

1. The metal prongs of the depth gauge can become calcified. I’ll try to clean them.

2. The depth gauge might well need to be recalibrated. Fortunately, I found the instructions on how to do this via Facebook. My control panel looks different but it seems the instructions are the same.
