Lots of rumours flying about re BMW and M and P Swansea. Has anyone got any ‘real’ info or is it mere speculation that they are parting ways at end of March 24?

Erm, I have no real info but this thread has been running since December........
Mates got a bike ordered and they insist it’s all rumour but he has a May delivery date and some investment in the order. Trying to get some clarity as they just say ‘rumour’!

I think it's more than just the rumour mill... I was in M&Ps BMW a few days ago and indeed a staff member openly discussed the inevitable.
I popped in to look for some new rider gear.....the BMW Motorrad clothing section has all been removed and backfilled with non-BMW products, not many BM bikes for sale in what remains of this showroom.

Finishing with BMW in March. I asked about servicing, they said ok for that but not warranty issues.
Some bargains there for BMW jackets and trousers, if you are on the large side.

Thanks- just had same confirmed. Servicing ok but no warranty or re call work.
Cafe now closed as well -snack truck in car park.
Great way to look after customers.

Yes I seen the snack van set up. Its a good job it doesn't rain down here often, all those tables in the fresh air.
Where are you going to go for warranty and servicing now ?

I've bought a bike within the last week from them, and so far they have been fantastic, great communication and the bike was as advertised, when delivered. They maybe exiting BMW but for reasons I have no idea of, but so far so good here.

Keep it safe everyone Justin

I phoned Swansea and Cardiff for confirmation of rumours , that both are no longer BMW Dealers .

The effect is
a) many now have great distances to travel
b) when they get to their nearest dealer you’ll find their workshops snowed under

Not for me to say how long you’ll be waiting

5 weeks for the first service from when I called to book it in even though I bought it from bristol. Even tried to book the first service when I bought the bike but was told-na don't worry well fit you in as you bought it from us.
When I rang to book it they said they were overloaded with MandP bikes for services.
So I have lost a month with it stuck in the garage. As it happens weather has been shit.
So, book in advance don't be fobbed off. Silly me.

This has caused major BMW service access here in SW. Heaven help you should you need breakdown assistance .
I strongly advise anyone being recovered , to PHONE ahead and ask how long the wait will be before a bike is dealt with. DAMHIKT
Remember , Motorrad must take you to a place of YOUR choice and offer you a loan vehicle.

For anyone in Mid Wales, Sytner/Rybrook in Shrewsbury do bikes now. They did my shaft recall and service last month, although I booked it in March as I popped in to check them out whilst my car had an MOT nearby.
I was using Cotswold when I lived 2 miles from them but it's a bit of a schlep to there now.

I nearly called my service off today the guy said next date was in Sept.
Sorted now and the guys were nice to deal with.

I can beat that , I overheard a girl , being offered a service , in November. This was at the same time that my friends bike was delivered on a recovery truck and unable to get assistance . I’ve not heard the full story re the girl , so not naming names.
