Progress ....

Time to start on the main beak / tank panels.

These were prepped and based in pure white base coat, then painted in metallic white ready for the feature presentation!

I'll just put the photographs up in successive order, you'll get the idea, it's pretty much mask, paint, mask, paint, mask paint ........

I've got a couple of tiny mask bleeds to fix tomorrow with the airbrush (I had to buy a new one this afternoon after dropping my one today :blast

)

Then the whole lot will get it's clear coats!

I'm sitting here at my workshop as I type this in the 10 minute interval between coats of clear. It's the longest 10 minutes of any day!!

Whenever I now see a GS or GSA with the grey cylinder covers, they just look odd!

I'm under a time constraint with this one. It's the customer's only form of transport. I've got it for two weeks which to him will seem like an absolute age as he's resigned to using public transport!

Ok let's be clear ........ fnar fnar ...... pun intended :blast

I had a couple of tiny mask bleeds to fix this morning with my new airbrush. Then it was time for the 4x clear coats.
The photographs will enhance the effect of the xralic content which I add to the lacquer. The finish looks pretty much like standard metallic until it's hit with bright direct light, even more so with an LED torch. The flash on my iPhone is LED so it really emphasises it. Out in the real world it looks more subtle but no less effective.

I'm looking forward to polishing it all tomorrow!

He's a new member on here. He approached me to paint his bike after he saw the Naked and afraid paint job thread here. He's been checking in on this thread, if he wants to make himself known then I'm sure he'll post something up ................ as long as it's not a complaint :blast
