M3 - new Asbo GT chaser

Some of you guys come up the M3 heading into town, I am thinking of that nice stretch from M3/M25 interchange to M3/A316 at Sunbury.

Spotted it going along the M3 yesterday, Surrey traffic's new AsboGT chaser and its in boy racer, bright tangerine

It also lives on the A3, A31 Guildford/ Farnham area as well, see it quite often.

Mate of mine works for a police force in the south west of the UK who ordered a load of Ford ASBOs for use as unmarked ANPR cars. Said mate works in the traffic workshop and had to fit the expensive ANPR cameras to the cars. One minor issue, the front and rear windows turned out to be IR screened and the ANPR gear works on IR. D'OH! Still they thought, we can get screens made without the IR reflective coating - turns out that would cost £4000 (IIRC) per screen or per car as a special order. I do not know how they got round it in the end but I guess if other forces are using them now it must be easy/cheaper.
