M6 or M1 south to Tunnel

Won't really answer your question but from Blackpool will not use tunnel always take hull Rotterdam ferry , yes dearer but by the time you take petrol money spent on way down and back and in most cases over night accommodation , better option in my opinion. also makes a good part of the trip over night sail , early start in the morning to start on the other side

Same from Yorkshire. It’s much easier and as you say once the cost of fuel, overnights etc is taken into account then the Hull-Rotterdam ferry isn’t much more expensive. It’s also a much nicer start and finish to the trip.

I live close to Duxford on the M11 and listening to traffic news and reports the A1, A14, M11 seems to be the least problematic and it also cuts even more of the M25 out. The A14 also gives you a number of services if you need a coffee or comfort break.

Confirm at this moment in time bikes are free of the Dart Charge:)

But not through the Blackwall or Silvertown tunnels. Motorbikes through these tunnels are charged, due to ‘congestion’. A bizarre decision, not least as motorcycles do not pay the congestion charge.
