Woke feeling pretty refreshed and an hour early for breakfast, so went for a wee walk.....

...headed back and had breakfast.....and then went for a walk to buy a sticker and whisky fudge for me Dad for cat-sitting.....popped into the campsite...

Ronno seemed to have falllen.....

Went back to the hotel and had a quick Nana-nap, before picking-up some beer and returning to the campsite....

The weather was stunning:

...at some stage I left and went back to my B&B to bed.
I don't remember doing so, but I woke up in bed in my room, so I must have.

Can't say I enjoyed the ride back - "wet" sums it up.

BUT: Big thanks to everyone for their company and hospitality - a grand weekend.

I arrived late on Saturday afternoon, to be greeted with two packs of Penn State pretzels, supplied fresh from the North East of Engerlund.

Very tasty they are too, and they DO go well with cider.

Thanks Ron & John for excellent organisation. Kev for bbq. God? for the weather (except the biblical rain south of Aviemore) , and everyone else for their company and entertainment.

Tis a sad day that an event like this can no longer be associated with UKGSERS. You are the losers.

Saturday morning bore evidence of the night before

Bikes and riders gathered for the road ride leaving at 10 am

First stop of the ride, someone had a message for us

In the afternoon the relaxation continued, some enjoyed the party at the campsite from the Ceilidh Place balcony

That evening

Sunday morning came too soon, most checked out of their accommodation as is intended and went off to pack up for the trip home

but theres always one

Fantastic weekend and thanks to Ron, Jon and all those involved in making it such a great event, first every trip to Ullapool, won't be the the last (I hope)

Fantastic weekend, loadsa laughs, great tae catch up wi' auld faces an' meet new anes.


Great pix too folks (some spanner in the fruitcake household forgot to put the battery in her camera BEFORE she packed it, doh)

It was GotC 2007 at Glen Clova where I had the first (mis)opportunity to attend such an event and I blame all those I met for ensuring I've had too much fun and having to come back for more - and for talking me intae my CBT, test, 1st GS etc etc, lol

A MASSIVE thanks tae and onyack fur all their hard work in organising these events over the years - ah've hud a ball!
