Yes, the OS maps are accurate but may not have the latest access and right of way information. Simply put, just because a road or path is shown as a BOAT on OS doesn’t mean it’s legal to ride it.

Plod takes no interest in my brother-in-law’s farm, nor with the farms of his neighbours. Similarly, plod has zero interest in hare coursers, fly tippers and machinery theft.

Police apart, it's nice to be able to check in advance where to go, and where not. Generally to avoid pissing people off.
I've ran into police checking once. Very rare... but still...

The new TRF GRM is a bit annoying as it times you out after 10 minutes, unless you click on the button to keep you logged in. Not sure why they have this feature but it is annoying.

Well, tricky question. Groups of legal riders riding perfectly legal trails get stopped quite often by plod after being reported by ramblers affronted by the fact that people ride motorcycles on roads which they like to walk on, that happen to be unsurfaced. Even to the extent of being chased by helicopters.

That’s much easier than trying to arrest hare coursing pikeys.

Long time since the PowerPC stuff (I still have a few of those)!
I think the Intel i5/i7 processors that are "standard" CISC stuff

@Wapping it's bound to happen, it's not a "power" issue, just software compatibility. The more the OS progresses, the more these older apps will die.

On my main Mac (an M1 Max Studio) I can still use Basecamp and upload data to the XT and 60cx, but Basecamp crashes often. Sometimes it crashes on launch. Restarting the Mac fixes that.

The M series chips are back to RISC architecture rather than x86 / CISC

for roads anyway, I've just started to use plan.tomtom on the web to create routes and dowload the gpx files. so far it seems great and able to sync to iphone tomtom app with no auto re-routing.
not tested yet but the gpx files should by compatable with other gps devices or at least once converted.

plan.tomtom is free or part of the subs, yearly subs for tomtom iphone app ~£20
