Just upgraded to 10.4, and the weather widgets defaults to Perth North Dakota, which is now 4c and raining. I realize I'm a bit slow with all things computers and try as i may can't get the widget to show Perth Western Australia which is now 24C and over cast. It looks like it should be a simple fix but it ain't working, any constructive help would be most welcomed

Ed - I guess this will be no help, but I just click on the little 'i' bottom right, to spin the widget round, then type in the location I want. I see that the display defaults to my location selected on initial system set up each time however. This apart I hope you are enjoying Tiger as much as I am. Norman

I think the upgrade is great, a vast improvement. the weather widget has me beat, maybe its only setup for the states for the time being.
cheers, ed

time for all mac users to go to finder / applications / smug mode...:D

Just tried it here - spin the widget round, typing 'Perth' into the location edit box gave me a dropdown with several Perths, including Western Australia - so it sould work for you too.

Agree should work mine flips round and shows Perth W.A. However for my home town Madrid it falls far short today we had 32 c and the widget was showing a high of 18 and low of 8. Other than that 10.4 is fantastic and love it.

Wonderful we Mac types are. Apple give us an OS as mind-blowingly MAGIC as Tiger and we end up moaning about the fact it does not predict the weather quite right!!!! :P Norman

Anyone using Photoshop CS2 - absolutely fantastic...! Now supports Raw image processing (in batches) as well...just upgraded from 7.0 ...

Just loaded CS2 and yet to find all the improvements though red eye reduction is long overdue and I do like the spot healing brush. Is Tiger a substantial change though or is it just Panther with Konfabulator built in?

Bottom line, no NEED to, but reasons for me were/are:

1. Spotlight disk searching and Smart Folders - wonderful and change how you organise on the mac completely.
2. More speed doing most things.
3. Email Account integration/management.
4. Update to Mail.
5. Better dot mac syncing.
6. Dashboard and how widgets launch - pure fun and pointless, but...
7. Better looking everything.

And there will be more to come. Norman

A case of Parkinson's law of triviality no doubt.
