Macbook - Can't view images, blue question mark instead

In El Capitan Safari, when viewing images on forums I'm sometimes only seeing a small blue question mark just like the one below. Anyone know how to correct this?

I see no blue question mark on my iMac - just a pic of a KTM 690. However, I know what you mean. Right click > open in new tab should show those blue question marks as pics.

Worth a try.
Please check in your Safari "Preferences" under the tab "Appearance" whether the option "Display images when the page opens" is ticked.
