Macbook Photo Question (another one)

If i have imported pics from my Camera SD card in to iPhoto/Aperture and then want to use these pics to post on here or email etc where can I find them on the Mac

If you have done the import correctly Buz, they should appear in iPhoto (Last import)

It has been known for new photos not to appear straight away but quitting iPhoto and then opening again normally finds them.

I use iCloud these days and all photos taken with my iPhone automatically end up on both my iMac and my Macbook Air. 'tis brilliant.

Thanks Bugbear, but if i want to attach a photo to an email or attach on here etc where can i find it?
On Windows you open file manager and it will be within a folder 'somewhere' usually within the My Documents folder's. Does the Mac store the pics in a folder that is available from 'Finder'

you need to export them from iPhoto. File>Export

or just drag the pic you want from the Event to your desktop.

Mmmmm, thats a minus point to the mac then IMO!
Suppose from now on i may as well copy my pics from my memory card to a folder on the Mac then import them in to iPhoto etc

doesn't seem that onerous, but i suppose it's one extra step. hardly worth cluttering your drive up with duplicates of every photo though, i'd have thought

I use Photobucket for all photos I post on the web.
Its safer than posting direct from your Mac files as no one can gain 'naughty' access.

Drag & click your photos for emails etc or use iPhotos own emailer (from the 'share' icon, bottom right)

So do I. There is a downloadable extension for iPhoto on the Photobucket site that allows direct uploads easily to your library on there.

Select the photo's in iPhoto, then copy them, then create a new email and paste them ..... simples
