Just received mine & fitted it. However I can't get it to clamp 100% tightly on one side ! Anyone else having this problem ?

NO problem with mine,
Its a well designed piece of kit, the bracket has nylon inserts similar to nylok nuts, and it was quite tight to get the screw thro, as it should be to stop it vibrating loose
Just check you have the clamp the right way round first

If I hadn't already checked this, I indeed would go
Tightened the bolt very tight but still would not bite into existing fender ! (One side is fine).
Have solved the problem by putting a piece of number plate fixing tape under said clamp so it has something to bite into, now it's solid.

This is it fitted, Ive taken the s/s crud catcher off now to see how good it is on its own,

Would be interested to see a picture of the bike after going down a muddy B road with the extender and no crud catcher

I am waiting on the crud catcher. In a bit of light rain this morning the extender only allowed a small amount of spray onto the bottom of the engine. Sorry no pics but just got in and the light has gone. Will post some up tomorrow evening.
Update required.
How is well is the Machine Art fender extender working to protect the motor from crud and splash, my s/s crud catcher is still in it's packet, I'm reluctant to fit it if the Machine art extender will do both jobs!

Will let you know once it rains.......!! BUT I have taken my crud catcher off, it looked too much like "belt & braces" for me, so hope it works (I'm sure it will).

Ok, 285 miles today on country roads & drove through a fairly deep ford. At end of ride the front of the engine is 90% + clean. IMO, you don't need the crud catcher as well

My fender extender seems to fit OK - but I just got an e-mail from the US distributer that said that some of the clamps provided were too short resulting in a loose fit. They are sending me new clamps just in case.

Anyone want a new Cymark S/S crud catcher, it's still in it's packet brand new?

Here's a pic that I supplied to the Avant manufacturers in the USA.... they have actually used it on their website for marketing!!
The pic was taken by a mate of mine in South Africa shortly after I imported and supplied them with the Machine Art Moto products.
2 Identical bikes were used by the chaps for a trip - one fitted with the Avant Fender Extender - the other not.
Both rode the same speed and identical route......... so the pics shown is of the 2 different bikes after the ride - as they say a picture speaks a thousand words!
I firmly back this product 100% and yes - it does make the Crud catcher unnescessary!

I have the fender extender and crud catcher, and down a newly tarmaced, unswept road today, the amount of tar on my crud catcher was 
I've had a crud and fender extender fitted now for 3k and tbh I still like the idea of the crud because it still protects the surface of the engine from stone chip attacks. Ok it's fiddly to clean the engine unless you remove but i don't think it looks out of place with a fen-extender fitted as well .
