Anyone used these cylinder protectors from Nippy Norman yet?

At £110 they would appear to be worth a go.

GSA Rolled off it's sidestand on Sunday and wrecked the left aluminium protector :blast

I've been looking at these, but not sure why I'd choose them over the standard BMW ones. I like the look of the TT ones, but they are both £40 more than the BMW black ones, and harder to get individual ones on ebay should you happen to break one. As much as I want to bling it up, I think I need to think with my head on these.

Yep, I have some! I scratched the originals, these are far more robust and will stay on the bike until I sell it at which time I will put the originals back in pristine condition. If I buy another 12GSA then I will put the X Heads on immediately, if not they will sell easily on here! Well worth the money IMHO!

Yep - same thoughts - Just orderd a pair which will go on the new GSA when it comes and the ali ones will be kept until such time as I sell it on again.

Just ordered a replacemnet ali one for my 06 GSA which I am part exing in March and just the ali protector without rubbers or fittings costs £68.27. Second one I have had to replace following an early off in a ford - so getting expensive.

I would have liked to have seen the guard removed after that test to see what damage was done to the cyclinder head cover underneath.

They do look good, how does the cost compare to the BMW parts?.....I have the BMW black ones and H&B engine bars :D

The BMW black plastic ones cost about £72 from Motorworks but do not look to give any where near the same protection, The GSA ali ones just crumple and break (what they are designed to do ) and so tend to need replacing even after a simple falling off the side stand.
