My regular readers may recall I bought a new Mac Mini last year, and this is the one it replaced.

It's in perfect working order, although the casing has suffered from living on my kitchen table for the last seven years...

It was a high spec for its day, and I upgraded it from 8Gb to 64Gb of RAM...

I'm in the middle of 'sanitising' it for resale, at the moment, but it will be ready for shipping this weekend.

How about £180 delivered to mainland GB, elsewhere at cost?

So, whilst preparing it for sale, it got into a reboot-loop. I tried a few procedures suggested by Apple, but ended up taking it to the Apple Store. It turns out that one of the 32Gb RAM sticks had developed a fault. So, the faulty one was removed, and it passed a full diagnostic check at Apple, and is working perfectly as a 32Gb.

In light of this, I am reducing the price to £150 delivered to mainland GB, elsewhere at cost.

Is the SSD on these upgradeable Mike? I'm looking for a MM, but had thought about a slightly older one with a bigger hard drive, but yours might fit the bill, I'm dithering!

I’m not sure, the RAM is - but someone else might be able to shed some light on the SSD.

It wasn’t something I needed to be concerned about, as external storage is so cheap…

Mike
